ThreatStream CEO Hugh Njemanze Joins Experts from DHS, NIST and Gartner on RSA Panel on Threat Intelligence Sharing

ThreatStream® (RSA booth #S2727), the leading provider of an enterprise-class threat intelligence platform, today announced that ThreatStream (@threatstream) CEO Hugh Njemanze will be moderating a panel on legislation regarding threat intelligence sharing at the RSA Conference (@RSAConference) in San Francisco this month. The panel discussion, titled "Should Organizations Share Threat Intel to Avoid the Next Cybergeddon", will be held on Wednesday, April 22 from 10:20-11:10 A.M. In addition, ThreatStream Labs Director of Research, Jason Trost, will be speaking on the lessons learned from running the Modern Honey Network (MHN), the largest crowd-sourced honeynet project.

At the RSA Conference, Njemanze will be joined by Nate Lesser, Deputy Director, National Cybersecurity Center of Excellence, National Institute of Standards and Technology (@usnistgov); Richard Struse, Chief Advanced Technology Officer, Department of Homeland Security (@DHSgov); and Anton Chuvakin (@anton_chuvakin), Research Vice President, Gartner (@Gartner_inc).  They will discuss the risks and benefits of cyberthreat information-sharing and whether legislation is necessary to drive important improvements against today's most sophisticated cyberattacks.

"Through the first week of April this year, we've already seen 225 data breaches that have exposed over 100 million records," said Njemanze. "With greater concern regarding nation-state attacks, cyber terrorism, hactivists and attacks on critical infrastructure, threat intelligence sharing will provide both the private and public sectors with the curated information about malicious actors and threats that is necessary to defend our nation as well as frequently targeted industries such as financial services, healthcare and manufacturing."
