Executive Order: Private Sector's RoleDavid Burg, Principal, PwC's Advisory Practice
The notions of public/private information sharing and critical infrastructure protection have been concerns to some business leaders. But, really, the executive order gives public sector organizations the chance to step up and help define and integrated security strategy, says Burg, principal in PwC's Advisory practice.
In an interview about the opportunities presented by the president's executive order, Burg discusses:
- How public- and private-sector organizations can partner effectively;
- What 'information sharing' will mean;
- How private sector organizations can help shape critical infrastructure protection.
Burg is a Principal in PwC's Advisory practice, where he's the US Leader of Forensic Technology Solutions. Corporate clients, law firms, and the US Government have all benefited from Burg's help in the deployment of information technology solutions and their use, and in matters involving cybercrime investigations, complex data correlation/analysis, and various business transformation or operational initiatives.
He has also helped clients with significant data breach issues, information security program improvements, risk assessment, and forensic analysis in response to a hack into an international bank's infrastructure that led to close to $10 million in unauthorized ATM transactions.
