How Automation Can Help Address Growing Network Demands

Organizations need to bring together IT and network teams to enhance visibility into ever-expanding networks, update security policies and ensure their networks remain free of disruption, and automation can play a major role in making these tasks quick and efficient, said Raymond Brancato, CEO, Tufin.

Brancato said network teams have a lot more to handle today than they did a decade ago, such as running multi-cloud environments, on-premises networks, and SD-WAN and SASE environments. They must remain on top of these environments to maintain visibility and seamless operations - and rely on the IT team to update security policies to prevent breaches or data leaks.

Automation can play a major role in streamlining network and security operations. "We still see that it takes days or weeks or months to provision firewall policies and get them applied across environments. When you're automating network management, you can reduce it from months and weeks down to days or hours," Brancato said.
